The Sperre HL2/77 is a V-type, two-cylinder, two-stage air compressor engineered for high-pressure air generation up to marine classification standards. It is widely installed in engine rooms for starting main engines and auxiliary systems.

The HL2/77 compressor operates using a two-stage compression process:
